Sunnyvale

Sunnyvale has always enjoyed a prime spot at the center of the Bay Area’s transition from farming, to aerospace, and now technology. Its location offers a good balance – a mild, sunny climate with easy access to metropolitan amenities and natural beauty. With a population of 155,567, Sunnyvale is the 7th largest city in the Bay Area. It is a center of technology and innovation, but also a city of residential neighborhoods.

Here are a few of our favorite things to do or see in Sunnyvale. Enjoy!

The Sunnyvale Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Set on the historic Murphy Avenue in downtown, this weekend event is a resident favorite. The market brings the spoils of Californian agriculture to the city with fresh fruits and vegetables along with fresh seafood and assorted meats. Other booths host beautiful flowers and orchids, handmade jewelry, and live music. Come enjoy your Saturday morning in this awesome atmosphere.

If you are looking for some fun in the sun, Las Palmas Park is your spot. This park has something for everyone, dogs included! With a dog park, jungle gym, basketball court, and baseball field, the fun never stops! Bring your picnic basket and a cooler and enjoy a peaceful lunch at the parks barbecue pits and picnic tables.

Whether you have lived your whole life in the San Francisco Bay Area, or are visiting for the first time, you should come out to Sunnyvale Golf Course and play a round. This 18-hole golf course was built in 1968. It sits in the heart of Silicon Valley where highways 101 and 237 intersect, next to the famous Moffett Field. At the end of your round, relax and unwind at the courses full service bar and restaurant.

Situated on the eastern edge of Sunnyvale is the one of the Bay Areas most enjoyable attractions. California’s Great America was opened in 1976 and offers some 40 different rides and attractions across its 100-acre wonderland. From rollercoasters to waterslides Great America is fun for all ages. We recommend buying your tickets online. Have fun!  For more information please visit:
