K. Hovnanian’s other Northern California communities are in the Central Valley and Solano County, outside our area. We found no other K. Hovnanian community in Santa Clara or San Mateo County or San Francisco.

- Warranty and SB 800The company’s filings describe a materials-and-workmanship warranty without year counts, and its Bay Area division has closed. California’s Right to Repair Act generally limits defect claims to 10 years after completion, which for Traverse runs out around 2025 to 2028.

Kevork Hovnanian founded the company in New Jersey in 1959. It is now based in Matawan, New Jersey, and trades on the New York Stock Exchange.

Traverse in Milpitas: 207 homes on Trento Loop, Expedition Ln, Journey St and Momentum Dr, per recorded maps and the city’s development map.
Is K. Hovnanian still building in the Bay Area?
No. Its annual report says it completed a wind-down of its San Francisco Bay Area operations in fiscal 2018. It still builds in the Central Valley.
