Cherry Chase is one of the more well-known neighborhoods of Sunnyvale. The area is bound by El Camino Real on the North, Fremont Avenue to the South, Highway 85 to the West, and Hollenbeck to the East. This highly desirable neighborhood is known for its wide streets, many named after fruits like lime, mango, grape, as well as some Southern names like Lafayette, Lexington, etc.  Comprising over 2,400 homes most were built from the mid-1950s to 1960s.   The homes are mostly ranch-style homes built by American Housing Guild or Brown and Kaufmann.  There are also a few mid-century modern Eichler tracts that are spread out through Cherry Chase.
 
There are many outdoor amenities including De Anza Park, an Aztec-themed park with picnic grounds, a basketball court, athletic fields, and more. De Anza is hard to beat. You also have Mango Park if you are looking for Tennis or swimming.  Mango park has six courts and is well used by the locals.  The Cherry Chase neighborhood allows for an easy commute to El Camino, 85 and 280, which border this Sunnyvale gem.
