The Fairwood Eichler neighborhood, built in the early 1960s, consists of two phases. Fairwood I is located within the boundaries of Dartshire Way, Kingfisher Way, Duncardine Way, and Firebird Way, while Fairwood II is north of Dartshire Way on Kingfisher Way, Coventry Court, Carlisle Way, Mallard Way, Cornwall Court, and S. Wolfe Road. The nearby Fairwood Addition, which includes Eichler homes on Chickadee Court and Chukar Court, is a mile west of Fairwood I on the north side of Dunholme. The Fairwood Eichler neighborhood is a cohesive residential neighborhood consisting of around 150 to 200 Eichler homes. The Eichlers come in modest 3-bedroom models and larger 4-bedroom models, featuring either an atrium or courtyard entry. The Fairwood Addition Eichlers were built ten years after Fairwood and offer three-floor plans with three and four-bedroom homes ranging from 1545 square feet to 1800+ square feet of living space, featuring both gallery and atrium designs. Jones & Emmons were among the architects who worked on the project.

Additionally, some buyers may be hesitant to purchase an Eichler home due to concerns about maintenance or the cost of potential repairs or renovations. However, for those who appreciate the unique style and design of these homes, the Fairwood Eichler neighborhood can be an excellent place to find a distinctive and highly desirable property.
